Systems Engineer from Universidad de los Llanos, Master in Biomedical Engineering and PhD in Systems and Computer Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Assistant Professor at Universidad de los Llanos, Junior Researcher (JR) and peer reviewer of MinCiencias. Experience in research projects in Intelligent Computing and Computational Learning, Image Processing and Analysis, Computer Vision and Analytics and Data Science and Big Data. He has more than 30 publications in scientific journals and academic events, co-author of two patents, among other CTI products. In digital pathology and computational pathology he has participated as a visiting researcher at the Center of Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics (CCIPD) at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio (USA) and has collaborated with the Research Group Machine Learning, Perception and Discovery Lab - MindLab (Category A1 - MinCiencias) and Computer Imaging and Medical Applications Laboratory - CIM@LAB (Category A1 - MinCiencias) of the National University of Colombia. He is currently the coordinator of the Research Group GITECX (Category C - MinCiencias) and leader of the Research Semillero Automatic Data-driven Analytics Laboratory - AdaLab of the Universidad de los Llanos.
