In its 18th edition, Contexto newspaper dedicated its front page to the RedPat project, highlighting it as an initiative that seeks to reduce cancer diagnosis time through the digitalization of pathological slides, so that they can be examined by pathologists anywhere in the world. This project is financed with resources from the Science, Technology and Innovation Fund of the General System of Royalties. The project is led by the engineer Ángel Cruz Roa, professor at the Universidad de los Llanos, in coordination with the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and the Hospital Departamental de Villavicencio.
